The team

The school and orphanage have a dedicated team of staff members who provide support and care to the children. We employ about 25 teachers in the school and about 15 staff in the orphanage.

The school previously received support from European volunteers until 2018, but due to unsafe country conditions, volunteer programs are evaluated on a case by case basis.

The school and orphanage also welcome interns and international volunteers to support various educational and developmental initiatives. In the past, interns, including psychologists, have contributed their expertise and assisted with the children's well-being.

  • Claudette Nelson Leconte

    Claudette Nelson Leconte

    Founder of the INDMM

    Founder of the lay community CLCH in 1996 and the Institution INDMM (Institution Notre Dame de la Médaille Miraculeuse) in 2001. She serves as the director of the institution. Along with other lay sisters and supporters of the institution, she lives out her spirituality in service to the highly disadvantaged.

    Cérémy Louis

    Co-director

    He is the educational director of the middle school (grades 7-9) and is responsible for overseeing and supervising all school activities. He also serves as a school inspector in northern Haiti for the Ministry of Education.

    Head of the kindergarten

    She is a highly experienced certified early childhood educator. She is responsible for the teaching staff of the preschool, the organization of the kindergarten, and the learning program.

  • Geneviève Duverson

    Geneviève Duverson

    Director of religious education at the school.

    She is a co-founder of the Haitian Catholic lay community CLCH (Communauté des Laïques Catholiques d’Haïti), established in 1996. She is an educator by profession.

  • Berline Saintilma

    Berline Saintilma

    Administration

    One of the first 24 students of the school in 2001, Berline now works in the school administration after completing her training as an accountant. She also contributes as a tutor for students with learning difficulties at the school.

    Holds a diploma in IT management. He manages the school’s finances.

    Educational director of the 1st and 2nd cycles of elementary school

    She has a degree in psychopedagogy. She is highly dedicated and demands the highest performance while being highly respected and well-liked.
