How to support us?

Direct donations for the maintenance and further development of the facility.

Various costs arise for the maintenance of the facility and its educational work:

All these costs are covered by the institute management from a common budget, depending on priority. Direct donations that are not intended for individual children should be directed towards this common budget.

In recent years, we have expanded our capacity to accommodate orphaned children on our premises by constructing three new houses, providing housing for 36 children and caretakers. Alongside this expansion, we have implemented sustainable solutions such as solar-powered electricity, ecological wastewater disposal, and clean drinking water systems. To ensure the ongoing maintenance of these facilities, we are seeking direct donations to establish a repair fund. We kindly request donations of at least €500. This appeal is targeted towards socially responsible companies and individuals who are passionate about supporting this vital project. By contributing to this fund, you will help alleviate the need for lengthy fundraising campaigns for major repairs, allowing us to manage repairs independently and efficiently.

In addition to covering maintenance costs, these direct donations will also be allocated towards addressing extraordinary expenses for school and orphanage children without sponsorships. This could involve essential emergency medical treatments, among other needs. Given the high food prices in Haiti, it is crucial to allocate funds from this budget for procuring food supplies.

If you prefer to support a specific child and provide ongoing assistance throughout their journey, you can also opt to sponsor them directly.

Individual support, sponsorships for orphanage and school children.

Sponsorships for Orphanage Children:

Become a sponsor for children residing on our premises and attending our on-site school from kindergarten through ninth grade.
Your monthly donation of €50 per child helps cover their accommodation, food, clothing, and education expenses.
With your support, these children can grow up in a secure and nurturing family-like environment, despite not having their own family.
We'll match you with a child for sponsorship and provide you with their photo and profile. Each year, you'll receive an updated photo and a report on the child's academic and personal progress.
We encourage you to actively foster and deepen your relationship with the child over time. The choice is yours: make a difference in a child's life today and chose one of the following options:

Sponsorships for School Children:

The majority of students enrolled in our school still live with their families in the impoverished neighborhood nearby. To support these children, we need to cover teachers' salaries, provide school meals, and maintain essential school facilities such as the library, sports facilities, and internet access. Sponsorship for these children is estimated at €50 per child per month. Join us in providing these students with the resources they need to thrive in their education and choose one of the following options:

Sponsorships for High School, Vocational School, and College Students:

After completing their education at our facility up to the ninth grade, orphanage children have the opportunity to continue their studies at high schools or vocational schools in the city of Cap-Haitien. However, this transition entails additional expenses, including transportation to the city, school fees, textbooks, school uniforms, and lunch, totaling €150/month.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

At a qualified vocational school, vocational training costs, such as automotive mechanic or electrician programs, have increased to €300/month due to training fees.

For students pursuing higher education, such as aspiring civil engineers or nurses, additional expenses for external accommodation bring the monthly sponsorship requirement to €450.

Currently, one student is studying civil engineering in the capital, Port-au-Prince, another is pursuing a physiotherapy degree at the Protestant University in Léogane, and yet another has successfully completed nursing studies in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Additionally, three recent graduates have commenced electrician training at the Protestant vocational school in Cap-Haitien this year.
While the maintenance costs listed here are high, they reflect the reality of the situation. To facilitate donations, we offer the option for two or three individuals to share a sponsorship.

Sharing Expertise

We welcome your contribution to supporting our facility by offering your craftsmanship, organizational skills, or other professional expertise. Your service not only benefits our facility but also provides valuable insights into the procedures and operations of a highly developed country for our students, employees, and staff.
In the past, architects, roofers, environmental engineers, water engineers, solar engineers, and teachers from Germany and France have been closely followed with great interest and curiosity during their work.
Since September 2023, we have initiated training for dental technicians specializing in the production of dental prostheses. This training is led partly digitally and partly on-site by a dental laboratory in Germany with a dental technician master.
We also encourage other, more personal forms of partnerships between your school or company and our facility. For instance, we have had positive experiences with graduates of a high school in Germany who volunteered for 3 to 6 months in caring for the children. This experience has proven to be mutually enriching. You can read testimonials from volunteers on our website's News page.
